Hi all, I have a lot of rigid Styrofoam boards and I'm about to make bass traps, I wanna cover them with Linen and hang them on all corners. Would it help absorb bass? or its a waist.??

Thank you in advanced!!

It's a waste. You need semi-rigid fiberglass or rockwool. Styrofoam reflects more than it absorbs.

Sorry, but Brando's right: it'd be a total waste. Bass traps need mass, just the opposite of what Styrofoam offers. Styrofoam is great as a packing material, but has no applications as an acoustic treatment.

So I think I'm gonna go with rockwool

Rockwool is good. Bass traps need lots of it. At least 4" thick, preferably thicker if you can afford it and have the space.
