I just wrapped up a project recently. A tribute to The Residents album Third Reich and Roll. This album is two continuous sides segueing about thirty parodies of popular songs from the 60s and early seventies.
I stole (I mean tributed) the concept updated with 28 songs from the eighties. The first side is rock and the second side more new wave.

They can't complain it's just another boring old cover.  :)

Is this still rock and roll? Not to me. It's a trip.

The mix of the middle Bon Jovi? part was great!

You might want to get the drummer out before the stairwell collapses .. . or implodes . . .

FWIW signed of at 3:32 but still liked it.

cheers,

I admire your fortitude.  I think it can be improved upon, not sure where to start.

I agree with eph221.  I think the mix is too noisy, but that may be the style.  Not sure.  I guess over all, I don't get it. Sorry.  I like the idea of the giant mega mix of 80s tunes, but it really isn't weird al or parody.  A parody implies that the songs or lyrics are parodying the original.  I wouldn't really call it a parody of music, as the music is just a different style, rather than parodying.  Weird Al is a master of both lyrical and musical parody.  Every song he has ever done has been either one or the other, with the exception of his polkas, which are just a silly way to cover songs. (Don't get me wrong, I love them).

Yeah it is kinda lo-fi by design. It was more like a polka cover medley than a real Weird Al parody - I just figured more folks would know who Weird Al was and he is less frightening than the Residents. I really put my recently purchased Melda Creative Bundle to use!
