I'm always hesitant to watch a sequel of a movie I really love, especially if there is a long time between the two flicks.
I finally watched Jason Bourne last week and it wasn't as disappointing as I expected.
The trailer for BR 2049 is pretty slick.

Like you, Blade Runner is one of my favorite all time movies. The trailers look good, however, we have seen movies where the trailers were the best part. Hope that isn't the case here.

I wonder when we'll start being able to get Replicants that can cook, clean, wash and iron...

My hopes are low. I suspect they've done questionable things.

For those of you who may or may not have been worried, I do not, have not and never intend to have REM induced hallucinations on the topic of DC (or even AC) powered ovis aries.

BR is such a huge film for me ... and one of the few where so many things are right and done properly, and the music is used beautifully ... instead of just adding some imagined idea for the audience Hollywood style ... I'm not sure that the last line in that film ban be overcome with its beautiful music and incredible shooting and acting.
 
I, personally, do not think I will see the new one ... I sincerely doubt that the new version of the movie will even have such incredibly well defined and used music! As such, one of the things that makes BR so important, will undoubtedly be gone ... and replaced with classic hits!
