My new studio monitors has balanenced XLR connectinos which I want to use.

My interface (Tascam FW1884) has balanced outputs, but only "jack cords".
What do I use to connect these? I have tried to read about unbalanced/balanced and I can understand balanced jack's are "stereo" plugs?

So if I use this I should be good to go?

EDIT: sorry, somehow I can't seem to upload a picture here, nor link to a picture.

What you are calling Jack cords are probably what catalogs refer to as 1/4" connectors.

What you are calling "stereo" plugs are more universally known as TRS or Tip Ring Sleeve connectors.

The XLR connectors you are referring to are more accurately described as 3 pin XLR. There are XLR for many numbers of pins.

You can purchase 3 pin XLR to 1/4" TRS cables at any place that does pro audio.

You can make your own too.

This page has all the info you need to solder them correctly:

Balanced vs Unbalanced has nothing to do with size or shape of the connector. The connector is merely an electron hose.
What makes it balanced or unbalanced is how many conductors it uses, 2 or 3.

oops!

If you dig a bit you'll find two rather lengthy, very detailed posts from me, one about balanced interfaces, the other about grounding and shielding. At which point it was suggested that perhaps I needed to lay off the coffee<G>... Mike saved me from myself this time!
