  • I don't care what anyone says. "Eye of the Tiger" is a wicked awesome song (p.2)

Yeah I loved this song when I was a kid. Mind you I was a sucker for anything with guitars in a minor key.

Absolutely.

And I guess I would have been maybe (at most) 5yo when this tune came out?

There was not much else goin' on for me back then.

Then when I was about 6 I got my first taste of Twisted Sister.

Everything went horribly wrong from there.

I think I was 9 or 10 when this came out. And at that time I was absolutely besotted with Back In Black.

I became obsessed with Bon Scott era AC/DC around that age (and still am) but he had been dead and gone for many years before I first caught a wiff of Jailbreak/Dirty Deeds.

Unsurprisingly right about the time my [REDACTED]s were starting to drop.

Dude just literally oooooozed everything cool back then... and is still one of the coolest rockers to ever grace this silly hunk of... uh... rock, of ours IMO.

.
One of my fav aca/daca songs (they are all my favs), and very un AC/DC ish, but I've like it muchly since I first heard it way back when. I normally prefer harder rockier stuff, but I don't mind anything if it's good, this just struck a chord with me from the start.

I'm always using words that I forget are quintessentially British (some overlap with Australia) and people over here have no idea what I'm talking about. Like not so long ago, I said to my girlfriend that I'd quite like a biccie (cookie, short for biscuit) and she had hysterics. Now she can't stop saying it.

However for the absolute best in potty British words you have to read P.G. Wodehouse. Things like "snifter" (alcoholic beverage), "tinkerty tonk" (goodbye), "stinko" (drunk) and "nature's last word in cloth-headed guffins" (an idiot).
