Hi
Daryl. Thanks for the nice comments. On this one, I thought that maybe I should avoid the tendency that I have for overusing the reverb.
Hey
Mark. Thank you. I really appreciate your encouragement. Have I ever made a stinker? Boy have I!!!! Several!!! Just scroll down my SoundClick page and they are there. Thanks to the members on this forum, y'all have gently and kindly suggested improvements to be made. I have learned much on this forum and my learning curve remains almost exponential.
Hey
Jesse. Ya, I put on my social commentary hat for this one. I'll have to go back and listen to the lead. Thanks for listening, and the comments and suggestion.
Hi
Laura. First of all thanks for listening and for your comments. I appreciate your comment about the live feel to the song. Actually that is a conscience effort. While I appreciate the skill and talent of those who can make a highly engineered song, I am one who in my younger days didn't attend many large concerts but appreciated the efforts of those playing the smaller clubs. On most songs I try to get that feel. I don't know if it works but I am trying techniques such as: keeping the DR numbers at around 8 or higher; limiting the amount of orchestration on the Blues, Rock, and Rockabilly; and not to being too perfect in the performance (this last technique requires no effort on my part); etc. Thank you again.
Hi
Mark (CLEAN). You made my day -- thanks. Your comments are most kind and appreciated. BTW, I really think that you did an excellent job on "'Till There Was You". It was a "classy" performance on a "classy" song. Oh ya, the check is in the mail for the comments concerning this song also. ;>)
