Not a joke but about a month ago I was tooling around doing stuff in the gimpmobile. So as I'm trucking along on a really rather wide hunk of sidewalk (being ultra careful/observant as always because people don't bloody well watch where they are going) I see this old lady hobbling along and looking at me coming in her direction.
 
So I give her tons of room and say hello as I passed by her. She was giving me the old dagger eyes and not so quietly muttering "OMG, that is SO dangerous!"
 
It's friggen' wheelchair, lady... going like 2mph... nowhere near you.
 
Calm down.
 
Of course I just grinned and nodded because old people are cray and totes weirdballs.

True story but I remember the hot summer day I was walking along by the Hudson in flip flops, and this girl walked past with a dog which came barreling right up to me and sat on my foot. We did the "oh that's so cute" routine and she walked away. It was then I noticed that there was an almost perfectly round brown circle on my foot. Couldn't get home quick enough.
