Given the surprising lack of posts since last night, I'm assuming everyone was hit with this risk 55 thing?
Anyone know what I'm referring to? Pop-up thingy saying the server was illegal and wanting you to call an 800 number, supposedly a Microsoft number. Pop-up wouldn't close, had to use task manager or restart the computer to get it off, then I had no internet.
Was on IE, on Chrome, now.

I've had a few clients get this and one actually fell for it.  Fortunately, before he gave away everything, he panicked and pulled EVERY plug out of the back of his computer!  LOL.  Mouse, keyboard, video, power and, finally, the network cable.  He said it sounded like Russians in a boiler room (probably was).  When I was resolving the issue, I could see a remote connection that kept attempting to reconnect to his PC.  They even asked him if he had done any online purchasing (since credit card information can be kept on the PC).

I think that the level of posting activity here is more to do with that level being directly proportional to the amount of absolute bollocks being posted divided by the square root of needless meddling. This somehow results in the needless meddling obtaining a value higher than that of  the absolute bollocks.
