I would also like to point out that although there are persistent and slanderous rumors about Canadians eating giraffe meat on our Bizarro World version of what you Americans refer to as "Thanksgiving" (in our traditional Canucker tongue we pronounce it "Glip Glorp Glop")...
...we do NOT eat giraffe meat!!!
It was outlawed in 1986 by Prime Minister Tim Horton (hallowed be his name)... even though there were very few giraffes in Canada at the time and all seemed to be accounted for at the time of the furor over the supposed Canadian Thanksgiving Day delicacy.
Many critics of the law pointed out that no one had actually provided evidence that a single giraffe had been consumed on Canadian soil.
Still though, we as Canadians are a cautious and compassionate people so of course wholly supported the legislation en masse (the "Canadians Totally Don't Eat Giraffes On Their Weird Version of Thanksgiving Act of 1986").
I mean... who DOESN'T like giraffes?! Amirite?!
Anyhoo... what I was saying was I bought myself a nice hunk of Canucker Thanksgiving Giraff... er DUCK that I intend to prepare and consume and tell you all about later.
And remember, Canadians have not, will not, NEVER will have not NOT eaten giraffe meat on Thanksgiving.
LIES AND SLANDER!!! SLANDER AND LIES!!!
