Hey Everyone...

Have you been getting your copies of the DigiFreq newsletter? That's assuming you signed up for it, of course. I just wanted to check because I've heard from some people that said they haven't been getting it.

If not, you can access back issues here:
http://www.digifreq.com/digifreq/issues.asp

And you can either check to make sure your address is in the database or sign up free here:
http://www.digifreq.com/digifreq/subscribe.asp

Oh, and yes, it's filled with lots of good info and techniques, so hopefully this post is ok.

Thanks!
Scott

Have not received it in some time. Subscribed years ago and your site says I am already a subscriber.

Hey Scook and Jimbo,

Have you whitelisted garrigus.com in your email settings just in case the newsletter might be getting filtered as junk?

If you go to this page and type in your email address, you can request a back issue and see if you receive it...

Thanks!

There is no junk filter on the email account. Just tested and received a back issue.

Excellent! Yep, that's the latest one.

By the way, any specific topics you'd like to see covered in future issues?

Wow, I am probably the worst person to ask. But if I had to answer, with the explosion of Reverb FXs on the market recently maybe some coverage of typical when/how to use the various types/algos of reverb might be generally useful. Recently, I have been playing with Izotope Iris, so the spectral stuff is catching my eye, stuff like R-Mix, Iris, Alchemy, RX and SpectralLayers Pro.

Just got Issue 44, but the last one I'd received previously was Issue 39, so 4 issues didn't make it. I not only have "Scott R. Garrigus" whitelisted, I have you shunted into a special folder.

Whatever the problem was, it seems to be OK now.

Topic suggestion: summaries of similar plugins, comparing features and price. As Steve noted above, there have been a lot of reverb plugins released in the past year. Too many for consumers too keep up with. What's unclear is what differentiates them from one another. The same could be said for any category of effects: compressors, limiters, delays, equalizers.

Here's an idea, if you're brave enough to question common wisdom: nobody needs more than two compressors, and most could do just fine with just one, as long as they understood it well enough.
