Why is it always take the guns from the law biding legal gun owners and not get the guns out of the hands of the criminals. FBI and other organizations know where the illegal weapons are coming in from. Stop the weapons coming in and being sold to criminals and you will see safer cities and towns.

I think I have a solution that everyone can agree on:  education!  Make gun owners take a week long course on the responsibilities...etc of gun ownership.  (one has to study and take a test for cars, so it shouldn't rub anyone the wrong way. )The proctor can weed out the wack a doodles kind of like when the terrorists were getting flying lessons,911 could have been mitigated

I think I'm gonna stick with the decades of learning and solid experience I have already put in as opposed to only just a week .
