I think people here are people people and not so much reading (introverted) people.  Why are there so many mis-readings in these threads?

I'm for fixing a problem, not gun control per se.  regulation.  That's been my argument (and the government's argument)  if you see a problem, then legislate a fix.  I agree that laws may not be the way to fix things, but you have to admit there's a problem first.  THEN, we can debate.  One side is debating anti-gun control by saying there's no problem.  The other side is saying there's a problem that needs fixing.  They're talking past eachother.

Far more horrible than being introverted would be the politicizing of  such a tragedy before the bodies are even buried.  Many of us, myself included, have tried to avoid the 2nd Amendment discussion in this thread.  But constant provocation from your side has managed to turn this into a political thread when so soon after the event this should still be a thread to mourn the dead and wounded.
 
I've been extremely depressed all week over this event.  I think everybody in America has been upset and touched by this event.  

Weapons are horrible, evil is horrible..  nobody disagrees with that.  Not the framers of the constitution, not the vast majority of Americans, not the people who own and carry firearms.
 
However, I would appreciate an end to the politicizing of this thread, and a return to mourning the victims.  Praying for the victims; the dead and wounded, their friends and families.

BTW, and I'm still not entirely sure, but the reason I pooped on you earlier was because your comment about mandatory safety training and licensing (which I agree with and is required up here for any restricted weapons) came across as snark.
 
As in when you mentioned the 9/11 hijackers you were implying that mandatory education/screening DOESN'T work. Based on your followups I'm thinking that MAY have just been poor wording/brainfartage.

I'm Hispanic.  I don't know if it matters but my mothers side of the family is Venezuelan.  I was born in NY, my Mom was born in NY but my Grandfather and Grandmother on my Mother's side were both Venezuelan.
 
My Father's side of the family are all immigrants too.  I believe my Granddad who died post World War II fighting for the United States was born in NY but my Great Grandfather/Grandmother on my Father's side would have come from Eastern Europe.
