For me I think it's a case of "what's not to like?".  And the answer is, well, nothing!   What a strong straight-ahead rock song; arranged, performed and mixed just right IMO.    FWIW, I also get a bit of a VH vibe in the vocals, but for me it's because the harmonies sort of sound like Michael Anthony.

michael anthony, man he had a high voice..
i think they did most of their background tracks using HIS voice, and maybe mixed some of eddie's and davids in there a little bit.
 
i don't think i can sing as high as michael,
i'm gonna have to go in the studio and play-track some stuff and see if i can pull it off!!
