Hi,
I just finished a music/animation project.  I used Blender to do the animation and Sonar Platinum to do the music -- my original composition sequenced for harpsichord.  I used Garritan Personal Orchestra for the harpsichord.  Here's the link:  http://bitsong.com/Music.html.  Thanks.

zaffer, that's really cute but your keyboard playing and composition is outta this world (or maybe at least area 51)

Thanks eph221, glad you like the music, but I have to confess, my piano playing ability is actually pretty minimal.  That's why Sonar is so great!  What I do is play in a bar or so (one handed) and then tweak the notes in piano roll and staff view.  When I've got all the parts in, I add tempo changes, volume changes etc.  Sometimes I use Melodyne and sing in the notes as a wave file.  Melodyne will then convert my song to MIDI notes.  Is technology great or what?! -- especially Sonar :-)

Love it.
The animation is also really nice.
I have always fancied trying my hand at animation - how easy is blender to get into?

Hi Daryl, Thanks for the compliment.  Blender is not easy, but it's free and when you consider that equivalent commercial products can cost thousands of dollars, it suddenly becomes more accessible :-)  And there are tons of good online tutorials and lots of help from Blender forums.  When I made "FitzWilliam,"  I followed the book, "Blender Production," by Roland Hess.  Good luck!

That was fun!   I'm glad Fitz made it to the pot in the end.    Oh, and the bow at the end was a nice touch.
