I'm always shocked at the number of hardened criminals that frequent this forum.

Note that he didn't specifically say it was for food, just "groceries" which might include mass quantities of lime jello, vaseline and a turkey baster.

*If* i got arrested, it would have been when I got caught siphoning gas as a teenager.  Got about $2 worth before the security guard found us.  
Arrested, charged with "Theft Under $1000," strip-searched (underage and without parental supervision or permission), police broke my nose, and then I spent the night in a cell.  Followed by 8 monthly court visits where I plead guilty each time saying "quit wasting everyone's time and money, and give me a suitable punishment for stealing $2 of gasoline!"  Followed by the police releasing my juvenile name to the public (illegal in Ontario), and the charge eventually being dropped.
 
I can only IMAGINE the drama if I'd been a $35 kingpin!
