Lynn
This is my latest opus, recorded just before Christmas and the crash of my computer.  I kind of lost my train of thought with this, so I put it up for others to help steer me in the right direction.  I thank you for your  time and help.

I really like the concept of this song.  It reminds me of an old saying my professor had:  having arrived is having no place left to go.

Great stuff Lynn - the lyrics are particularly brilliant.
Backing vocals excellent. Love the little arpeggio that comes in at 2.52.
'But I'm enjoying the view when riding with you' - great
On my second listen now. Really VERY good

I like this track Lynn, mix is nice and clear and the vocals have been recorded really nice. This next bit is just my own personal preference but I found it hard on my ears having the guitar panned to the left when listening on headphones.

Lynn, Excellent tune...I like this one a lot.  Very cool intro.  I love the simplicity, yet how captivating it is; it really draws me in quickly and sets the mood.  Vocals are excellent, along with your choice of FX.  Lyrically, one of your finest, in my opinion.

What is the "boing" noise that leads into the different parts of the arrangement....very cool.  Very "Beatle-like".  I love it.

This is just me, but I was dying to hear a Gilmourish lead to climax the song; followed by falling back into that cool groove to carry things out to the end.

Mix sounds very good in my monitors.

I like the sound of your mix, Lynn.  That is what hit me first.  Then I listened to lyrics and instruments.  Overall great sound.  Although, I did lie life on the run for a long time.  I'll take this.  Well done, buddy!

David, thank you for your kind words and time.

Daryl, your words mean a great deal to me.  That is how I feel about your stuff, too.

Wookie, when it passes by your furry ears I know I'm on to something.

Adrian, I really appreciate your time and comments.  I wondered if that might be noticed, so I pulled that panning back from 100% to 80%.  On speakers, it's a different story.

Michael, thank you for you kind words.  I guess you're hearing the E-Bow, which I just acquired before Christmas.  This is something I'll be using more because it's so fun to play.  I thought about putting a lead at the end, but chose to highlight the vocals.

Warren, it's good to hear from you.  Thanks for your time!

Vocals really work, all the way through the song. I like your voice.

The song begins on a drum transient? A sharp click is the first thing out of the speakers - I dunno, is that too abrupt?

BG vocals are superior!

I'd also bring the acoustic guit panned left out to the center a bit more. And your strings on the right could maybe use more reverb, they are poking out a little.

The congas/bongos are subtle but they really frame things well.

Sorry about your computer crap-out! Hope you are back . . .

cheers,
-Tom

Hey Lynn - this is a great tune!  Loved it!  my biggest crit, tho, is that the limiter you have on the output is slammed pretty hard and kind of distorts things.

production, performances and the rest of the mix is great, tho!
