Excellent number my friend.  The lyrics are wonderful, your vocal phrasing really works, and the music complements them both.  I love your use of instrument fills to accent the mood of the lyrics and melody.

Brilliant work all the way around!!!!

Tom, thanks for the listen and kind words.  I'm not sure about the transient, I'm not hearing it here.  I do agree that the acoustic and strings could be panned more toward the center.  I'm kinda old school where I like things panned wide because I remember when almost nothing was stereo ;)

Reece, thanks for stopping by, it's good to hear from you.  I'm not sure about the limiter.  I don't hear the distortion on my end.  I used Crowded House for an A/B reference and tried to match their volume level for the master.  They usually have a lot of breathing room, which is what I was going for.  Nevertheless, if others hear the distortion, that's an easy fix.

Freddy, sometimes I just think we get each other.  Thanks for your time and comments, as always.

I really liked this one, Lynn.   It's got a great country-rock arrangement and feel that works so well, and the vocals ride nicely over top.   I also liked how the one guitar part gives it that steel guitar vibe.

Thank you, Steve, for your kind words.  Actually, that's a patch from Rapture Pro called "faux steel" which I ran through TH3.  I really dig that sound.

Well... I'd call that a success.

This production starts with a really good song. Melody and lyrics are really nice. The mix is really great as well.
I love the sound of the lead vocal. The highs are very smooth and not piercing and peaky like some vocals recorded with  condensers. Was it a dynamic or ribbon mic?
I hear some Moody Blues. It could stand a bit brighter snare and maybe a tad more review in places.
Some timing is a little rough in the first half. Like a little gentle quantizing would help a bit.

I really enjoyed this.

Jimmy, thanks for listening and taking the time to comment.  The vocal was an AKG Perception 220, a condenser.  I am going through everything Platinum has to offer as far as warming the sound up.  I'll listen to this song with a brighter snare on the next pass.  Not sure about the timing, though.  It's the acoustic guitar or bass, possibly, as all the MIDI stuff is quantized.  It's an ongoing struggle

You did great on that vocal sound whatever you used.
