Thanks so much everyone for all the kind words. If we can entertain one person with our work, it's all worth it!!
We still do much our stuff "old school." We do take advantage of the great convenience, FX, and other benefits of sonar, and digital recording, but all in all we just play and record like the old days with a tape machine, then produce our songs from there. The big difference is the "production" is now "in the box" vs the old days it was all external gear.

Whoever got that snare sounding like that, I think they did a great job.
Thanks very much, I am the drummer, in addition to doing most of the production. The drums are acoustic and played with the song. The snare is a 1982 Tama Superstar Mastercraft artwood inlay snare, 14x6.5, that I purchased new back in the day. I use an SM57 close mic and two overhead mics, both AKG 414s.
It also has a trigger overlay of the AD2 DW Collectors Copper 14x5 mixed in with it.

My little crit would be, the very beginning intro, the rhythm of the drums confused me. Just between :09 and :12.
hmmm, not sure what that is, I'll go back and check it out.
