If someone could be kind, please tell me how to improve this violin line. The thing that jumps out at me is the way the vibrato is sickeningly predictable. How do I change that, and what other improvements can I make?

I liked it too. The vibrato didn't bother me, I was just listening to the melody which was excellent.

I can not hear any vibrato, actually I think this may be one of those tracks were you need to turn it up a tad as I could hear nothing and the wave form was invisible.
