this is a really infectious little tune.

I couldn't make the connection between *I could have lived forever* (btw the d is missing on your tune title) and loving someone.  Is it like feeling immortal because you're so in love?

The last verse needs a little more variety by that point it gets repetitive to say *I love you* over and over again.

And then finally I think the song needs a little less reverb.

IMHO of course.

Terrific song, Steve!  I love your voice on this, and, for once, I don't mind the reverb because I think reverb is coming back in style, these days.  Overall, the recording is lush and spacious and has a vintage feel.  It's not all that easy to write a love song, and I think you pulled it off very well.

Many thanks guys for listening and the comments, which in part I wholly agree. The reverb was a bit high because I felt it made the sound more 'dreamy' and of course the last verse wasn't changed as it repeated the message of the song and hopefully left the listener with a kind of loss ... (BTW Lynn your comment about the song having a vintage vibe is extremely astute because I wrote it about 15 years ago on a Tascam 688 and remastered using Platinum! LOL)

What a beautiful tune, and lyric. Somehow you pull off the near impossible trick of writing a love song without getting cheesy. I love your voice, and I get that you deliberately went for a lot of reverb. It might be interesting to hear a direct comparison with much less verb, I can imagine it sounding very intimate that way, and very effective. The overall production sounds top notch to me.

Just for the record I have corrected the 'D' problem and added my excuses for the 'overly' use of reverb on this track 7 of LIFE and LOVE ( http://spak1.bandcamp.com/album/life-and-love )
It's good idea you have to do this one with accoustic guitar and vocal ... I'll give it a try thanks

Nicely written track, capture sounds good here, some nice playing, good vocal.  Perhaps a slightly shorter reverb tail might just sort the overly reverbiness (if that is a word) of it.  JMFO

Just to echo some of the comments above, I think the reverb works well with the song.  It does have a bit of a dreamy feel without sounding like it's in an empty gym.   Nice!

Yes that is excellent use of effects overall, I hear a cool phasey guitar to,,  well done!
Great vocals and arranging. top shelf stuff.
Only comment is put a tail on that ending. It sort of cuts off a few seconds to early.
