I find it tedious to create the view of tracks that I want to edit in the PRV. I need some tracks for context and I add tracks as a piece gets more complex. This is very dynamic in my work flow and a pain to establish now.
Ideally I would like to have a persistent window of available MIDI tracks available at a keystroke (or a tab in the MultiDock).
The Pick Tracks window only shows 12 tracks (and it shows audio tracks or synth tracks which have no business being in the list in the first place). Years ago I suggested that the Pick Tracks window be resizable. This suggestion fell on deaf ears.
After all these years I still need the PVR to do real editing so pointing me at Track view editing is no solution.
I can only hope that this has been addressed in the new "Sonar" and that this request is superfluous.
