Then there is of course SArt... which is amusingly close to "Shart".

No. It should be a new and specific thread entitled...... "Abuse the absoulute crap out of the ****wit responsible for this abhorrent term to describe Cakewalk's flagship software."
 
Switch off the ******* nanny and give it a week before locking it, but then make it a sticky for all eternity as a warning to what will happen to anyone who uses that term in future and then ban the originator for life. In fact, ban them from life altogether. 
 
 

From my experience with sonar platinum, SPLAT is the perfect description.
