Seems goggle sez mostly no on the mice if they are already there. It "may" keep them from entering anew.

We have trouble with outdoor rats chewing up the NOC lines on our vehicles (we park outdoors as the studio is our converted garage). It seems that rats are adverse to moth balls. Keeps them away. Maybe mice too?

Huh. Never heard that one. Interesting.

Oh and as far as poison goes... it definitely works but the problem is they go off to their nest to dies (usually in your walls) so you end up with a stink. Also if you have a cat or other animals and they eat the poisoned rat they can get really sick or worse. The main ingredient is warfarin (a blood thinner that is used to treat heart conditions but at really low dosages) which essentially liquifies their insides. Kind of like ebola. Not sure how much suffering is involved there but I can't imagine that's very pleasant.

I wonder if spraying accessible cables with something unappetizing like bug spray would keep the from gnawing on them.

I HATE when they get at the cabling... especially when said cables are proprietary or hardwired to a device.

For us, each car was "attacked" once. After we started using the moth balls, never again for over two years now.

Again, this is an outdoor solution to an outdoor problem.

Go to the pound and get a cat.

Yes. Why do you fear cats!

I had good luck with electronic types of pest elimination as far as roaches go.  Not sure if they get rid of mice.

These work great!
