I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a good one!

Tom, it's interesting that you bring up PF because I have often considered going in that direction.  I just don't have those David Gilmour chops.  Perhaps Mesh can help there.  As for the lyrics, well, I sometimes struggle in that department, and I would be more inclined to channel my energy toward my next song.  If you have specific suggestions I would love to hear them.

David, thanks for your ears and comments.  Stay tuned.

Freddy, I just need a twangy guitar to make it more JB;)  lol  Thanks for your inspiring words, and it's good to be back here, even if only a while.  I've taken on added responsibilities in my life which is why my time is limited these days.  But, it's all good.

Like this a lot, and agree with the other comments about taking it in a Floyd direction.  I disagree that your chops are not in Gilmour's neighborhood -- I think maybe a little more reverb on the vocal would put it there.  The vocals actually remind me most of the early King Crimson/Greg Lake stuff -- In the Court of the Crimson King, for example.

Excellent song Lynn, I like the overall mood, quite dreamlike. Liking the EBow lines and the trem guitar fills too.

Excellent tune, Lynn.  I like it fine as is.  Love the chord progression.  Agree with the dream like quality.  Floydish also came to mind.

Hi,
I really like the way you sing this song which is quite pleasant actually.
I allow me to say that the piano is a little bit knocking hard from time to time and that I'm not totally hooked by the drum part, but it is a personnal taste.
I truely like the vocal part ( except the backgrounds according to me taking a little bit over the beautiful tone of the main part) and I would be curious to hear what a good guitar lead could bring to this song( I' m convinced it will work).
Cheers.

cwestmont, I think you're right about a little more 'verb; I'll jack it up a bit.  You flatter me about the guitar, but Mesh wants a shot, and I may give it a whack, so we'll see.  Btw, KC has inspired me forever.

James, I really appreciate that you discerned the ebow.  I just got it, and I'm having a blast!  Thanks for your comment.

Mike, I love it.  Floyd and Crimson forever!

Olivier, thanks for you reply!  I'm not much of a drummer or piano player, so I'll take these comments into consideration.  Much appreciated.

Dennis, thank you, compadre!

Pleasant song. I liked the tune and arrangement. I think the piano sounds just a little bit too loud. Otherwise, mixing sounds good.

Lynn,

This is pretty awesome just the way it is, but since your asking (), I'd say you should add an orchestra to this. Keep the Floyd vibe, but nudge it over into Alan Parsons territory. Your harmonies are perfect on this, and the overall song is really well done. The Soundclick conversion seems to distort just a bit towards the end, so maybe it is mixed a bit too hot?

Regards,
Dan
