The kazoo at the end is a nod to the flintstones.

Has a nice stop and go feel to it. Great mix !Interesting title! I can't say I've ever heard those drum thingys used in that context. Sounds like you could have had fun making it!

Starise thanks for the happy review.  Yes it was fun.  There's a couple changes I want to do.

Nice and avant-nutty. Here's my question: you have included traditional snare and kick, but mixed them very very low . . .

If you use traditional snare and kick in what is a pretty traditional pattern, you are setting the listener up to anchor their understanding that this piece should be more or less traditional "verse/verse/chorus" . . . but it's not.

I think it hurts the avant-gardity to have low-mixed regular snare in there. It could be more spectacularly atypical to have metal thwack or dripping drops or god knows what-have-you for the rhythm section.

Just a thought, I dunno.

cheers,
-Tom

I like it. It is was it is and thats all that it is. Could be film music. I enjoy thinking-outside-of-the-box kind of stuff - the only rule is "screw the rules"

I meant it as an elegy to my youthful indulgences.  Glad you liked it steve! I need to get a Keef on it though, nice loosy goosy blues solo.:D:D

I must admit that sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees.  That's where I was with this song until today.  Now, I can't get it out of my head, although it's not like a melody that you hum all day.  It's that herky-jerky flow that I keep hearing in my head.  I'm glad I listened to this 3 or 4 times first, it grows on you.

Lynn, nice to know I found the hook.  Thank you for listening!
