Hi,
I've got a new song out. It's called "Brace Position" - you can check it out
here:
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13508450

This one is a little "moody", but it is the product of cold winter evenings and the uncertainty of entering "uncharted territory" in 2017 ;-)

This features some U-he Diva, which is my new favourite analog synth emulation,
plus all the regulars:
real (strat and tele) guitars (through Scuffham amp sims)
Trilian bass
Superior drums
etc
built in SONAR Platinum

As usual, let me know what you think...

Like the soap or the bird, it's a dove gently floating through space.

Nice work John!
The production and playing are great!
I really like the breaks where the guitar comes to the front and makes a statement.
Love the guitar tone and the thoughtful tasty guitar work - especially at the breaks.
Keep up the good work!

This has your usual excellent guitar playing, but you've brought something extra that makes it really feel like a band. Nice tune, with a really great feel or vibe to it. That synth brings some cool rhythmic expression to the track.

Regards,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Thanks a lot for listening and for your comments. I was afraid this might be too "over the top" with processed drums and heavy guitar - I'm glad to get some positive feedback. ;-)

The synth parts are Diva, and I love the sound of it on the arpeggiated part.

Excellent intro! Very moody yes, but I like that. Cool guitar work throughout John, I like the tones and phrasing, and your use of long delays. Mix works too, nice sense of space, plenty of dynamics and stuff coming in and out. Right up my street really, I enjoyed this very much.
