The entire region around Saturn just went dark. Who knows how long it will take us to get back there.

I'd imagine they are now trying to figure out a way to send a sterile landing vehicle.

For now it's all about Europa (Jupiter).

We're a long way off farm being able to probe Bapusanus. Mostly due to lack of defensive technology.

Conspiracy Theory I Tells Ya.

There is no Saturn and there is no Cassini.

Jury is still out on the spoon. Otherwise how can I eat my Post Toasties?

I thought Cassini had something to do with Italian pastry....

I was amazed by one piece of knowledge shared in a recent Cassini-document:
The rings of Saturn are the most even/level surface known (!). They're only a few feet thick (don't remember how thick exactly), but the width equals the distance between earth and moon.

The scientists talked about Cassini and Hubble-telescope with similar tones as dog-owners talk about their pets :o)
That was sort of cute.

Hi,

I would like to see the composites of the pictures from the last hour ... if they made it. I'm assuming that the lens/eye of a camera probably died before the transmitting equipment, which may suggest that in the last hour or two we might just have mish-mash stuff that is not decipherable, but I sure would like to see the pictures they can put together from the last bits of information.
