Here's some good watchin' to prepare you for the trip
I loved this comment!
I wonder if their knees get rubbed raw from their granite balls swishing back and forth or do they develop calluses.
:)
Now THAT would be terrifying! I did a 1.5 day trip on a 60 footer once. This is a much bigger boat - 90ft long with a 24ft beam. There's also only 19 fisher-people on board so it should be a fantastic trip...
Here's the boat:

That looks like the kind of boat on which a man could get some thinkin' done....
I personally am terrified of the ocean (a near death experience in Greece when I was 12). It also instilled in me a kind of obsessive fascination with rough seas. I can watch videos of boats in ferocious storms for hours, I love those ones of 100ft waves hitting tankers and the like. There is something absolutely horrifying about the ocean when it gets like that, but totally compelling as well, like something out of a dream. Gives you infinite respect for the vikings who used to traverse seas like that in wooden boats. Unthinkable terror. However, I like to think that underneath all of that churning foam, if you keep going down and down and further down until you get to the very bottom....well.....
My latest obsession is watching footage of lighthouses being slammed with apocalyptic waves.
