eg, "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" in Preferences > File > Audio Data  causes a lot of confusion - should be deselected by default

any others? the midi buffer setting? anything that might need changing after a fresh install... the defaut vst path should be outside the program files hive...
 

Absolutely. If you know they cause support issues, by God, change 'em.

I only just recently discovered how to turn off the facility that creates and maintains an Assets file in every project folder. I would prefer this to have been off by default from the start.
