I would like to wish all Cakewalk forumites a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year. I have been busy over the last 2 months with my other job as an organist hence my lack of posting to other threads, which I truly intend to fix in the New Year (call it one of my New Years resolutions).

Anyway in celebration of the Winter Solstice and also what at times has been a memorable 40th year on this planet I put together what will be my last composition of the year, which I hope you will enjoy.

All sounds, except drums, are from Omnisphere - including the ratchet effect you can hear in the chorus section.

I should add that the previous track I did with our very own Mesh, which some provided good advice on, is in the process of being remixed and a revised version posted shortly.

Thanks for the link correction, not sure what happened.

Really well crafted, you managed to keep this simply arranged while holding interested. I know you used Omnisphere but sounds a lot like Z3TA samples too. The climax parts peak nicely too.

Well done and happy Christmas

yep, you have the essential "variety" in the arrangement of parts! Much better to have a 16 bar limit on any given section. Sometimes in this genre writers fall in love with a part, and run it for 48 bars.

Love the percolating rhythms and the overall sonic quality is very high. Well done!

Nice one Adrian, crisp and clear, plenty of variety in the melodies and rhythms to keep the interest up.

nice choice of sounds and melody. The kick drum could do with a bit more punch

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I take your point on the kick drum Daryl, but as I had a lot going on in the bottom end of this track I was slightly concerned that too much punch could make it difficult to give the mix the clarity it needed.
