I'm trying to set up a 32 bit version of SPLAT on a dedicated system (Actually it's a win7x64-bit system ... but it's reserved for 32-bit VST's and Apps only). Having a real hard time. Are anyone else actually using a 32-bit version of SPLAT, and if so which release  do you use, with with what OS ?

I've got most of the versions of Sonar on my Win 7 32 boot, plus the last "classic" cakewalk verson:
 
Pro Audio 9, Sonar XL, Sonar 3, Sonar 5, Sonar 7, Sonar 8, Sonar 8.5, Sonar X1, Sonar X2, Sonar X3, Sonar Platinum
 
For me Sonar Platinum has been the most stable, with X3 and 8.5 as joint seconds.
 
As far as versions of Platinum itself, they just seemed to get more stable for me as each month went along (with one or two exceptions), but the last one that was released (Oct 2017) is very stable for me.

I'm running 2017.10 on my office rig (Win7Prox86).
Works fine here, aux tracks can be "buggy"; but they are in x64 on the Cat in the studio as well.
Haven't really tried aux tracks with CbB yet...

Sounds like a nice setup. Does "Win 7 32 boot" mean that you running a win 7 32-bit install, not x64 ?

I had the x64 version running successfully on the win7x64 system I'm now transforming. Uninstalled the x64 version, and reinstalled the 32 bit version. That part went well, but I'm having serious problems getting it to scan my vst- plugins ... scan crashes all the time ... can't even get the basic Studio Instruments to show up :/

Yes, it's one machine with 3 boot options:
Windows 10 64 bit
Windows 7 64 bit
Windows 7 32 bit
 
So the 64 bit boots have 64 bit apps, and the 32 bit boot has the 32 bit apps.
 
The 64 bit versions only have X3, SPLAT and CbB though.
 

I've always installed Sonar x64 and x86 versions on my StudioCat.
Never had any vst scan issues using both the x64 and x86 vst and vsti.

Yes, it's one machine with 3 boot options:

Very convenient :) I have plenty of space and computers, so I'm going for dedicated solutions.But I see getting a Win 7 32 bit install would probably make life a whole bit easier. Some plug-ins (like TruePianos) don't give an option for the 32-bit VST install, it's just assumed you want the x64-bit version if you have that kind of system.

I think my problem is connected to that I already had only the x64 version installed, and then went for a pure 32-bit install. Looks like my problems are related to how CCC deals with that situation. Previous downloads are stored somewhere, and when I in CCC selected to reinstall all the extra to splat ... (where I had the off-line installer available and got the option of making a 32-bit install) ... there is no 32/64 question in CCC ... it just reinstalls the previous downloaded extras ... which where x64 bit ... and in effect I end up without the 32-versions. I could have simply added the x64 bit vst folder to the search path ... but that would defeat the purpose of the reinstall.
 
Waiting for the off-line installers to download now ... guess that will sort things out for me.

Problem has been solved. To me it looks like the problem lies in CCC ... there is no question there if you want to do a 32-bit install, it's (maybe naturally) it assumes that you want a x64 bit install on a x64 bit system. 
So the only way of getting the option of a 32 bit instal (on a x64 system) is to use the off-line installer.
My problem was that I after doing that, used the CCC to install the "plug-in extras" ... I thought that since it was registered in CCC that I had the 32-bit SPLAT installed ... it would be an easy ride from there ... unfortunately ... CCC reinstalled the previous x64 bit plugs ... not in 32 bit modus ... so ... I had to download all the off-line installers also for this ... but now it all works as expected. Problem solved, and it doesn't look like it has anything to do with the SPLAT version as such. I'm using the last edition made. It's more connected to the fairly reasonable workings of the CCC, and special cases. Me thinks.
