Hey Everyone!

I am so proud to share another music video off my new album Head Like Fire. This one is done with stop-motion animation and was created by visual artist Bea Landers. The music of course was all done in Sonar, and the song is on the new album.

Haha I always wanted to try my hand at making my own stop motion video. But like you said, I don't know that I really have the patience either. Luckily Bea came through on this one :-) And maybe I'll make my own one day.

That's a thought that's crossed my mind, wondering if it's as time consuming as it looks. Worth it in the end however long it took, nice job. That acoustic in the intro sounds great too, I usually don't record those direct but the depth of those lows has me reconsidering. Acoustic bass as well?

As I was watching I started thinking about trying something like that too.
The music fits the video quite well. Nice job.

Everything you're hearing is synth :-) That makes me happy that you'd ask that though. I like trying to blur the line as much as possible with my music. I do play some real electric guitar and acoustic guitar on some of my songs but this is all synth. A lot of Omnisphere, some various Kontakt libraries, bunch of other stuff. And lots of effects to really sell everything as best I can.

The creator of the video estimates that she spent close to 100 hours off and on over the course of about a month and a half. She did everything herself from creating each model and all the animation, editing and shooting. She started with the song which was already made and started coming up with everything to go along with it. I'll be doing a Q&A blog with her soon, and I'll be sure to share it for anyone whose interested in the process. I know I am too haha :-)

Thanks for checking it out
