Oysters.
I can't imagine anyone looking at them and thinking, "mmm, that looks good".

The Martial Art Master I trained with in LA  always used to have me come along riding shotgun as his Road Dog  to many of the Events & Tournaments he was judging ...

The people that he knew well , knew fully well that I was just his student keeping him company .
Every so often he used to get a kick out of jokingly telling people he didn't know that I was his bodyguard .
Yeah Right

The funny thing is he wasn't the least bit afraid of any living Mother eFFer in the world .
He was just afraid he would fall asleep driving home ,so ole chatter box over here was good company for him .

One night there was very large competitive event that had taken place that I had went to with him ..
After the competition was over,  all the Martial Arts Masters and heads of all the various  Dojo's  met up at a real swanky Korean restaurant in Korea Town ...
The restaurant set up tables for the 30 + members of our group ..They also treated us very well .
The group of people I was with were all very well known top respected NAME Martial Arts Masters that did the bulk of many of the stunts and choreography in many of the top Hollywood Movies that featured Martial Arts style fighting ...
BTW, this all was the easiest part of my whole night that night . I was just happy to be in the same room with all these talented people .

Once all these Martial Arts guys started having a few drinks and beers , the 29 guys that had no idea who the heck I was started messing around with me and challenging me to eat the foods of their culture ....
Man , I saw some $hit on the never ending tables of food that was being served that was still moving around as if it was still in the ocean swimming around ...
They would not let up for one second , they would pile a few new things on my plate and sit there and watch me as I chewed my way into their acceptance
Eventually they realized I was gonna hang tough & take all they could dish out as they made fun of me ...
So after they had a few more drinks they let me off the hook some ..they were chowing down & having a good time ...
It was a funny night ...I look at the pic of the food in the opening post and say to myself that could have been desert I ate that night .

all the best,

Kenny

I've lived in Scotland for 15 years now and I still don't know why they eat 'mince & tatties'. I've never seen a more uninteresting plate of food.

I tried I bite of my bass player's haggis when we were in Edinburgh.

Just a bite... that I immediately spit out.

It took HOURS, multiple teef brushings and most of an industrial sized bottle of "blue" flavored alcopop to get the taste out.

I mention it because that goop looks very similar to the goop the bonnie young lass at the resto slapped on the grill.

I quite like haggis but a little goes a long way. It's nice as a stuffing for chicken breast, and a slice goes well with a fry-up breakfast (haven't had one of those for a year or so though)
