Oh, and just since I'm blathering I had amongst the mix/sim tests I've been planning to give a Mesa/Rectifier sound as my second guit. I don't like the GR5 and TH2 emus (they are kind of old, mosquitoey and seem to get buried in the mix far too easily). I haven't played extensively through Mesa gear but that is NOT what I remember from the experiences (particularly the Triple Rectifier).
In the meantime I've been leaning on the nice Randall models in TH2 to fill that void (with my beloved 5150 sound as the lead rhythm/guit). Usually if I meander around the Lynchbox thingie I can get something crunchy and cool that is "different" but compliments the 5150 tone.
As I said though Oyvind (Jarvse) bought this Mesa emu (I think) and applied it with very little fiddling to the dry tracks I had sent and it just... worked. You can ask him and Baps how crazy I can get with tone bending crap and seriously he just slapped the bugger on, probably did some light tweaks and bingo bango.
