Can anyone tell me how to create a revers cymbal effect in Sonar X1 Producer or if one of the soft synths has a Reverse cymbal patch / sample in there :)

I did this recently on a song off my last album....

i did it the old fashioned way....

just like reversing a tape.

except, i used a recording of a cymbal, being struck, let it decay....
then using the functions in sonar, simply reversed the wave file, slid it into place, and automated the volume envelope to bring it into the mix right where i wanted it.

voila.

I just noticed I posted about this in the forum ages ago but never got round to trying it.

Can you remember what the function is to reverse it ?

Hi-lite the track/clip then go to process/apply effect/reverse in X1.

In 8.5 or older, hi-lite the track/clip, process/audio/reverse. :)
