Cool song bats.   Oozes energy.  Right about the time I was thinking "man I gotta say something about how much verb he has on these drums, it's nuts they sound so far away..."  I realized it was an intentional effect and getting thicker.   Pretty cool actually.  Nice production man.

you know, i wrote this drum part using Sony Acid...
it's a loop-based software,
and when i wrote it, i had it on an older PC, which has now gone the way of the dinosaurs.

anyway, when i wrote it, i wanted that big faraway sound, 
and it goes hand in hand with the lyric.
 
the lyric is really what drives this mix. everything that happens in the mix, 
and the arrangement for that matter, is to serve the lyric...
it's about letting go of someone dear.

Wow, another great song!  I love your lyrics, always solid.  I read the talk about too much bass and that you changed the mix to compensate, but where is the bass now?  I hear it in the beginning and a spot or two in other places, but overall the whole mix sounds somewhat bottomless and thin on my system.  This song can easily support more low end without sacrificing anything else, imho.  Otherwise, keep up the great work!
