I feel like there is so much I do not know how to use. Some things are general to recording programs, and other things are proprietary to Sonar. A while back, somone posted a link to a 9 hour mixing video on www.lynda.com, but for protools. Does anything like this exist for Sonar? I know a lot of the techniques transfer over, but it would be nice to see it on the program I am familiar with.

Yeah, there's a lot to learn inside Sonar. A couple of places to start looking, right on the page you are looking at:

Use the menu bar at the top of the forum page and choose Products By Category-->Learning Resources. There are a couple of quality video collections there for basic Sonar operation (Groove3 for example) and then some advanced stuff (the Anderton videos).

Use the menu bar further to the right and try Community-->CakeTV and Community-->Sonar University. This stuff is free!

Just do a search for sonar and tutorial and you'll find links to lots of utube stuff.

Also, this forum that you posted in (techniques) is chock-a-block full of amazingly useful information, although much of it gets pretty advanced pretty quick. (Yet, once you know your way around Sonar, it's easier to grasp.)

Most of these resources are for Sonar X1, so beware if you are still on 8.5.
