 A young friend stopped by a couple months ago. We used to have a band together about 15 years ago. He lives in Colorado now and works FOH at shows for a day job. He brought me a copy of this book as a gift and told me it had made a great impact on his self. He mentioned that it reminded him of stuff we had been talking about back in the day and thought I would enjoy it.

 I started reading the book last night and was surprised to see that chapter one is about the "groove".

That's a co-incidence I just saw a discussion going on this very forum just now about the very subject.

Funny how things can all crop up within a similar time-frame.  Like buses I guess you wait ages then all of sudden two turn up at once.

It's seems as if there is an underlying sub-rhythm going on beneath the surface at times that some are more attuned to than others.

I see the potential for some complex poly-rhythms occuring that become more than the mere sum of the two parts...

The bonus of throwing in a bit of spiritual growth into the bargain is never to be sniffed at either, although I must admit divine frequencies is my main area of interest there, especially when they are evoked in obscure nashville tuning techniques.

It's a big subject.
