Many years ago lived in Africa.
Culture in the area was such that the women wore clothes to make them look as fat as possible. Fat was cool. Obese was even more cool.
Obesity was a turn on to the men. Skinny chicks and to my mind, beautiful voluptuous women were considered ugly and undesirable. What were these guys thinking.
If you didn't look like a blimp, you were out of the dating circuit. Women that any red blooded male otherwise would die for, were castaways.
Reason was that if you were obese, you presented an image that you were successful enough in life to be able to eat.
Somehow this got wired into the visual pathway, over riding everything nature had intended.
Sometimes wish I was a simple native over there. Scarf up several beautiful wives among the lost ladies rejected because they don't look like a whale.
