I appreciated the snare dynamics ... but like a cluttered song ... FabFilter expects everyone to rise into their rocket-science techniques.  Reminds me of an X1 video I encountered ... on the rocket science of audiosnap and Rx2.

That was awesome...

All that said, with the transient shaper in X1, an eq and a compressor, I'm sure you can achieve a similar result in the end. I'm going to be using at least the eq and compressor always anyway so I'll probably get a result I'm happy with from that alone before I even need to bring in a shaper. But still, if you have the plug, why not use it! Might save some time. Pretty cool and looks really flexible.

I'm going to be getting X1, I've been on 8.3 for some time, but my DAW died, and they're trying to revive it... Regardless, it's only a matter of time before the old quad core/XP/32 bit which has done very well, gives up the ghost. When/if they get it back, I'm going to get a new Win7/X1 mashing and begin the migration.

And yes, Fab's interface takes a little getting used to? But it's good stuff :-) I can't get my TS to work well with my current 8.3 Pro, but it may be a different story w/X1.
