The editing solution is rarely as good, I find. You don't need to completely silence the p b t and s sounds when singing, though, that's really rhythmically awkward for most people. It's much easier to get into the habit of just using a softer vowel or "w" type sound in their place.

mmmm...I have a real bad habit of enunciating my words...that I got from doing theatricals.

Now I have to find ways to rid myself of these plosives...

Yeah, agreed, singing it properly sounds a lot smoother. I like the idea of using a softer vowel instead. Never tried that till just a moment ago and it's much easier to sing! Probably sounds even smoother still and not like the harmony keeps dropping out. Though I sound like a have a lisp hehe...

Sorry, lithp ;)

Yeah, it really works. In a typical situation, the masking effect of the lead vocal tricks the listener into imagining the harder sounds are actually in the BVs. Obviously, this trick doesn't always work if you want BVs alone at some point. In that case, you'll need a "lead BV" slightly louder than the others doing the harder sounds.

Absolutely beautiful Mike. Left me wishing I could hear more.
