That's cool you found a vocalist.
 
As for the mix. Kind of muddy (or maybe just over busy in an instrument fighting kind of way) IMO. The vocals have maybe too much reverb (or the wrong kind). Vocalist reminds me of Jon Anderson (and that's a good thing for me).
 
I'm listening on Sennheiser HD600s so it's not likely the audio medium. Could be the Soundcloud conversion, maybe.
 
It's a good tune. The transition at 4:36 sounds kind of odd. Like it loses ambiance or something. 

Bapu is right, at least the first 30 seconds or so.  Then the fidelity changes for the better.  I really like Jacob's voice.

I don't hear any Jon Anderson on this -- maybe JA is the go-to tenor reference -- but the vocal does need to be mixed in a way that it stands out clearer from the other parts of the mix.  Also, I could not understand one word he sang.  You've got some good stuff here but it needs some work mix-wise.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I have never mixed vocals.  I let him do that.  Sadly having it professionally done isn't an option as almost every quote I received was near $300 for one song.  One of these days I hope I can afford to have my songs professionally mixed and mastered.  Til then your guys input helps.  I love this forum.

Lots of great ideas in there, and your vocalist has a great range. Guitar solo is really strong. I enjoyed it!
