As the subject line states, I've been trying to generate the arpeggiator midi data for edit purposes and have..., miserably failed. I don't have any problems with the arp. per say and am comfortable with it. But for the first time, I'm in need of editing some notes and can't for the life of me figure it out.

I've searched these forums through google and have found some threads on the subject, but the proposed solution that was confirmed to work by the OP..., doesn't work for me. Oh, the proposed solution was to bounce to clip, which according to the knowledgeable ones renders the arpeggiator midi to the current midi track. I'm obviously missing a step or two.

Would someone be kind enough to review the steps/procedure to help me figure out where I'm messing up?

Bounce to clip works for me.

This has worked to my disadvantage as I once bounced to clip and tried to carry on entering Arp Data only to find that all of my previous data had been converted to the actual notes produced by the Arpeggiator, and the Arpeggiator itself had been switched off

Thanks for the confirmation Jonesey.

I finally managed to get some good results. Nasty "latch" button was doing me in. What I was doing wrong is to use the latch feature to automatically loop the arp. for a specific range. Bounce to clip was working, except it only had one note to work with. The note I was hitting on the keyboard to "kick-start" the arpeggiator. All I had to do was to keep that note pressed down for the duration of the range as I was recording. When done, I selected the track and bounced..., and voila, all arp. midi data was rendered properly and I can now edit to my hearts content. I knew that I was doing something wrong and this is a lesson well learned. All is well again.
