Simon Cain's "Cakewalk Synthesizers: From Preset to Power User" is excellent. The book has info for original z3ta in hard copy, but he has updated via downloadable chapter info for z3ta+2 that is even free to non-owners of the book. The book itself is still useful because the same things still apply for the most part. http://noisesculpture.com...oads/cs2-z2-update.zip

Find a preset you like and start experimenting.  If you don't have a background in synthesis, that is how you learn.  The books, etc. are a good idea too.

I found that the Muz3um bank for  Z3TA+ 2 had a lot of great sounds to start from.
