Gibson Brands, the fastest-growing company in the music and sound industries, is growing even further with the launch of Neat Microphones. Henry Juszkiewicz, CEO and Chairman of Gibson Brands, believes that “The time for entirely new thinking in how microphones are designed, manufactured, and applied is overdue—not only to benefit professionals, but also to create products that improve the audio experience of all consumers.”

I wonder if they can come up with anything that's both new and isn't dumb for whatever the intended markets are.

I'm not sure I can see a need for another generic mic brand.

I think the clue is that it's team B.L.U.E. v3.0. and they "... want to be a part of putting the joy back into recording.”

How would you like a USB noise canceling microphone with a built in 128GB recorder, an onboard vintage preamp modeler, and a bluetooth headphone option so you can sing into a NEAT mic while riding the bus in to work, or where ever inspiration comes to you, and then load it into your DAW later when you get home?

If a mic was that cool it wouldn't be as generic as all the other generic microphones.

While I wait for the preorder window to open I'll be wondering if the square body is some sort of interference filter tuned to the optimum frequency for counteracting the effect of recording vocals in a 11'x11' bedroom.

As I said, it depends on the intended market.

But you forgot about the built in Pro Channel and Autotune.

I should have remembered those two features. I'll need those to polish the flow in real time so I can make good use of the built in web cam.
