Wow.... I liked that.    The acoustic section was really nice, great vibe.  Though yeah, the vocals seem just a bit low in context.  When everything kicked in it was sort of like Van Halen storming into the room and taking over.

hey stevec!!
yes, the vocals sitting down even with the acoustics at the beginning was a choice,
to try to pull the listener into a more 'intimate' moment,
before unleashing the hounds.
LOL

Listening to this excellent tune of yours again Rob

sell albums.

I know you've probably considered all the options but what about Bandcamp?

I reckon if you also uploaded your albums there you may sell at least one more of each (to me).

I know I bought "The time is Magic" from CDbaby, it's just that my "go-to" seller of stuff is Bandcamp.

And then there are places like Google Play, iTunes, all that stuff...

Or does CDBaby have some sort of exclusive rights to stuff you upload with them?

cheers

The feel of your tune is excellent, as is the performances, and the mix for that matter. I got a really nice Led Zepplin rush from those acoustic guitars!  Well done.

Love the way this one broke loose around 1:00 and just kept going.  Superb guitar work and production as usual, with the sole exception of (and you've heard this one from me before) vocal level.  You sing great... be heard loud and clear, Rob.

Late to the party as always, but just wanted to say that this one maintains every bit of your high standards for playing, arranging and producing. Nothing I could tell you that would make this track better. Great work. Do you perform your music with a band, and do you take it on the road?

well, i route everything starting with cdbaby...
they have the best options for digital downloads, the highest bit rate,
but bandcamp?
i suppose having another outlet would be fine, as long as they didn't take a cut.

hey philz!
vocal levels, will always be a subjective decision,
i feel like if i can hear them clearly, then they are loud enough.

this aint adele music.
LOL

plus, the vocal mix is in keeping with the idea of creating a modern version of classic rock,
and not a top 40 mix where it's all about the vocal, and the music is just background....
i'm pretty good at finding a balance I like, but maybe i just hear too much?
