I enjoyed listening to that piece. It was very smooth and nicely put together. I have been worrying that I have so many unfinished bits and pieces that I will never finish or use, but it is really nice to see even after 15 years they might find a place.

Sorry for the the double post. I don't know what happened but It seems to have crashed when I hit reply!

Nice job Dan, it has a furry claw tapping groove.  The transitions are quite smooth, sounds very much like a soundtrack over titles that move with the changing scenes, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Wookiee! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Always a pleasure to hear your stuff Dan, it fits right in to the stuff I like to listen to for inspiration, Flying Colors, Big Big Train, Wolfstone etc. Brilliant track, really enjoyed it.

a new song from you is a treat Dan. This is no exception. love how the idea you started with from 15 years ago has essentially turned into one of your folky orchestral pieces bolted on top of a rock rhythm section. great ideas. superlative mix. think this must be in the top ten things I've ever heard posted on here.

"folky orchestral"?? I'd like a definition Bob for 10 points...LOL. Thanks for the listen and I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it!

Hello Dan, I very much like the piece, but I wonder if you could answer a question or two.  I would like to learn a few things about that so maybe it would help me be a better song writer.

How would you describe your workflow?

Do you do much cut and pasting of parts?

Do you know what sound your looking for before you load it into a synth, or do you search through presets and then tweak as you go?

How many aux sends do you generally use per track?

Do you do any major tweaking of the eq after tracking or do you just have an acute sense of what will work where?

How many different reverbs might you use, and which ones, to accomplish the depth that you achieve?

I could go on, but that is probably to many questions already.

Nice work, thanks in advance.

Reminds me of a blend of Kansas, Eddie Jobson, and Vangelis...this is where I live!

Thanks Bill! There is definitely a Kansas influence in this. Glad you enjoyed it!
