Beautiful piece, really quite wonderful. I don't know much about how this kind of music is supposed to sound, but to my damaged ears with crappy headphones, the highs were a little buried by the mids and lo mids, and I wanted a greater clarity with less room sound. The instrument sounds are great though, and it was fun testing my reading skills to the score (it turns out they suck. :) )

Thanks for the input.   Inevitably I think the work is done when the notes are right and some of the expression is in place -- always have to remind myself that there's still mixing to be done.   Will try to get it better.

New mix, same link.   Trying to stay realistic, but also get the most sound out of three solo instruments playing together.   Maybe a bit better separation of the sounds, and a bit less of the room reverb.

Very nice piece, well done...   For me, I think it could benefit with still less overall reverb so that the clarity of the lines comes through a bit more.   I picture it as more large room tone than hall...

A well executed piece that sustains interest throughout.  Throughtout much of this, I'm reminded of Vivaldi and in the slower sections there are some Beethovenish (word?) motifs that were very nice.  (To me, this would sound "better" by backing off of the room reverb -- think how a closely miced quartet would sound.) Good job and you're to be commended for tackling such a difficult creative work.  !!
