Hi guys -

Long time no visit in here, I apologize :(

Stopping in to share this piece I just released.  After a co-worker of mine committed suicide 2 years ago, I wrote this song in an attempt to help heal and to hopefully bring awareness to PTSD and suicides among law enforcement.  The song ended up being too personal and got buried in my personal music library.  Recently I changed my mind and decided to finish it.

Vocal performances by Tony Piacenta, Tuesday Elliott and Rhiannon Elliott.

I liked the song.  The recording needs work (not sure if that matters).  You're right about PTSD it's like the catch 22 of needing rest but not being able to sleep.

Beautiful song Michael. Very short, but very moving. I wouldn't change a thing.

It is a wonderfully put together track with some great performances and counds. Lotsa good choices here.

But I have to agree with EPH221...I don't care for the mix. The piano needs just a hair more shine and the male vocal is so in your face it could stand a nice eq sculpting job.

Jamesg1213 - Thank you
Jamesyoyo - Thank you for the suggestion.  I tried to keep the piano dark, but maybe it didn't translate well.  Thank you as always for the feedback and suggestions
MGH - Thank you

Well done performances, the mix sounds a little raw, but I don't think it takes anything away from the song. I was expecting more after the ending, but that's always a good thing, isn't it?

Dan

You couldn't pay me enough to be a police officer in the current times and the environment they work in now.  I have the utmost respect for what they do everyday to protect us.  I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend.

The song is short but very intense.  It emphasizes how they must put their faith in God every day they go out on the streets.  Wonderful tribute to your friend and co workers.
