Marvel even turned him into a comic book character (one can argue that DC should perhaps be taken seriously due to its predilection for the mythopoeic, but its pretty hard to argue the same for Marvel, I think). That's why Plissken works for me. Yes, he's so overdrawn as to be almost comedic, but that seems to be the point. Offered in the spirit of FWIW.
